Kuwait…Welcome to Camp Buehring and Udari Army Airfield. I’ll post pictures when I get some good shots. We are currently living in tents (really they are the white vinyl portable shells with aircon), plywood floor…and the dust is everywhere. Life is actually pretty nice around here. Weather is mild, food is good (they’ve got Taco Bell, BK, KFC, Pizza Hut, Subway, Baskin Robins, and a coffee shop…Starbuck is coming at the end of the month) …the mess hall has great food and tons of it to make anyone fat.
The base is mainly used for units coming and going from Iraq, so we see lots of Army folks walking around with guns and no ammo.
Our unit has been busy lately…launching at least once a day all week. Mostly patient transfers, but we see everything from car wrecks to Iraq IED hits.
Most importantly God has answered my prayers and my bags are in…I’ve just got to go get them.
Thanks so much for all your thoughts and prayers…we are in need of many.
